Prior to joining Indian Energy in 2009, Shantanu was a Director of BP Alternative Energy where he was responsible for Business Development in India and the Middle East. Whilst at BP, Shantanu established BP's renewable energy operations in India, including recruitment of a high quality team for the successful delivery of alternative energy projects and setting up the first BP wind power project in Asia. Prior to this role, Shantanu headed the Power Generation & Offshore division of Castrol/BP in India, the Middle East and South Asia. Prior to joining BP, he worked at Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited where he was involved in the management, execution and commissioning of large power projects in India consisting of approximately 4,500 MW of capacity. Shantanu holds a first class Mechanical Engineering Degree from Bengal Engineering and Science University.
Leena Rana Manager
Leena has over 10 years of experience in corporate law, Income tax, transfer price audit, finance and projects. She has worked with Dalal & Shah and Lodha & Co, where she has handled finance and projects of Multinational/National corporate, Foreign Institution Investors (FII), etc. She has independently handled statutory branch audits of State Bank of India, audit of M/s Asha Penn Color, Tax audit of National Commodity and Derivative Exchange Limited. She has handled financial related activity for Zegna South Asia Private Limited (Group company of Ermenegildo Zegna), Home Depot Pvt Ltd (Group Company of Home Depot, Inc). She is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the ICAI, New Delhi.
Jana Stalin Project Manager
Stalin is project manager at the Group’s Theni project. Prior to joining Indian Energy, he worked at Wind Force Management Services, responsible for monitoring and quality control at Gadag Plains. Prior to that he worked 8 years for RS Windtech Engineering as project team engineer and site-incharge for all turbine operation and maintenance. He gained a Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, SK Polytechnic – Nagercoil in 1999.
Samir Bagawan Project Manager
Samir is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Gadag Plains project. He started his career at Samsung where he was a team leader in the mobile division before joining Aircel Telecomunications. He gained a bachelor in business administration from Periyar University in 2009.
